Working in the Context of Community
Dr. Hentoff works closely with families, referring physicians, educational advocates and school systems and is committed to working with individuals in the context of the wider community. His goals are to identify the barriers to successful adjustment and growth, and to provide a road map that allows for a more successful and enjoyable path to their goals.
Insurance
Dr. Hentoff accepts most major insurance companies including:
Always Health Care
Blue Cross Blue Shield Products
Optum
Please Note: It is important to note that most insurers will not cover testing for purely educational purposes, including the diagnosis of a reading disability. Insurance companies require that there be a medically determined need for evaluation and many managed care policies require that an individual be receiving services from either a psychiatrist or neurologist before they will approve coverage. While Dr. Hentoff would be happy to contact your insurance company, it is recommended that you also call your insurance carrier regarding coverage and authorization policies.

Some policies also have an out of network benefit for services. For those who elect to self-pay for an evaluation, Dr. Hentoff will provide a receipt that may be used to pursue payment through their insurance carrier for out of network benefits. Dr. Hentoff also accepts VISA and Mastercard.
